Fault Code (DTC) Architecture & Suppression Cross-Reference
When converting vehicles for track use, deleting catalytic converters, or swapping powertrains into non-BMW chassis, diagnostic trouble codes must be cleanly suppressed at the bitmask level rather than simply clearing codes with a scanner:
